My pattern # 194 is finished, 1940 Dodge PU Truck. Pattern by Garnet Hall of Estevan Saskatchewan. That is the reason for the Saskatchewan licence plate. Garnet's patterns can be found at www.sawbird.com This is made of 70 pieces of wood, Eastern White Cedar, Black Walnut, Aspen, Ebonized Butternut, and silver paint. I enlarged Garnet's pattern by 20%. The piece is 25-1/2" wide by 14" high. I hope that you like it as much as I do.I should confess that I am a dodge Ram fan and always have been, My favorite is the old 4os and 50s Dodge Power Wagons. This is pattern #193, By Bill Dopson John Deere 730 tractor, built in Argentina.es It was built in Iowa until 1960 and then in Argentina into the 1970s, The last of the John Deere 2 cylinder tractors. It is all made of Basswood (Lynden) and is coloured with fabric dye. There is about 160 pieces of wood in it, difficult to get an accurate count. It is 24" wide by 18-1/2" high. It was done as a commission piece for a client who collects these tractors. He was very pleased with the result, as was I. The photo to the right was used to make the pattern...... The J.D. This is pattern # 192, Model '"A" Ford . The pattern is by Garnet Hall www.sawbird .com The picture on the left is my brother Tom's car, the inspiration for this piece. I enlarged the pattern by 20 percent, it is 26" by 14". The piece is made up of 126 pieces of wood. All of the wood is Peruvian Walnut, the black pieces are ebonized and the silver and red are painted. I do draw my own patterns, but it is easier to buy them, and I doubt that this one could be improved upon. The madel "A" is $335.00 Canadian

This Austin Mini Cooper was created for a neighbour. It is 24" long by 13" high. It is all made from Aspen and is coloured with red and black magic markers and silver paint. 1958 Corvertte, Pattern #-75 by Bill Dopson

The 1958 Corvette is from a pattern that I drew in about 1999. It was a comissioned piece at that time. Since then I have made several of them and they keep selling. For that reason I make a new one every few years. This is the first one that is made in the segmentation method. All of the wood is Aspen, which is a very white wood, and it is coloured using several different methods. It has 90 pieces of wood, and therefor it takes a long time to make this one. It is about 26-1/2 " long.
